The Mandel JCC Book Club hosts a monthly interactive discussion to meet other local booklovers and enjoy special guest appearances by authors. On Tuesday, January 30, Diane Bergner joined the book club at both their Palm Beach Gardens location as well as their Boynton Beach location to discuss her debut novel, ROYAL COCONUT BEACH LUNCH CLUB. In this one-hour session, debut author and powerhouse fundraiser Diane Bergner will join us to discuss her novel, ROYAL COCONUT BEACH LUNCH CLUB, and how her own experiences inspired her to write fiction. Throughout this discussion Diane will share her perspective on writing, plot, character development, and what it takes – so that others can be inspired in their own writing process, while adding fresh perspective and greater appreciation for writing.

Through the lens of a rarely written protagonist, this story gives us an inside look at the world of high society fundraising and philanthropy, showing what goes on in this sophisticated, alluring line of business: galas, gossip, cocktails, corruption, and underhanded secrets.
